The Rising Trend of Slow Fashion
We often say the phrase “just go with the flow” but is it actually necessary in the terms of fashion? Haven’t we all been baited by the brands to wear what is in trend and change our style accordingly? But in recent times a new norm has been introduced to the world of fashion. You would have heard about slow fashion. This just another term introduced in the fashion industry which is opposite of the trend of fast fashion.
Fashion world was at a new high and the concept of fast fashion was ruling the market and it was ruled by the high end retail giants. We saw a different level of craze among people for change in style. The slow fashion movement is just the opposite of fast fashion. It is basically a concept which trending now a days and which deals in manufacturing or purchasing the apparel which in some way leads to sustainability .In other words it is an approach towards fashion which promotes the idea of sustainability.
The change in climate has raised a lot of concerns in the world and measures have been taken to increase awareness and acquaint people with the fact that the condition of environment is deteriorating and it’s high time that we take actions for it. Fashion and apparel industry is the one which produces highest amount of waste in process of manufacturing. This raises some serious concerns for us being the survivors and the sole bearers of the consequences. The slow change in the structure has made consumers rethink about their style of fashion. Is fashion important even at the cost of this planet? The answer is ‘no’. It high time that we as consumers need an eye opening and do something to change the current scenario.
Industry has made a massive shift towards the idea of slow fashion. Even the manufacturers are focusing on making apparel which is eco friendly. There are more sustainable brands raising at this time .Taking the current situation as an example the sustainable fashion brands would be flooding the market as now the concern for planet and for comfort has more preference. Presence of Comfort is much more preferred along with style.

The industry would be moving towards a more sustainable trend rather that disposable seasonal trend in coming years.
